36 Weeks

I'm 36 weeks today! He can come at any time now. He's been given his official 3 week eviction notice though because if he's not born by 39 weeks they're inducing (and I'd really prefer not to have to do that ever again in my life LOL!) I've managed to go 2 (?) weeks without a hospital visit so that's good! I've even been able to do some things around the house without sending me into contractions. Now...as happy as that makes me, it also kind of scares me. Before they stopped my labor even the slightest amount of cleaning or whatever would set of contractions but now I can clean and clean and play with the kids and walk and all sorts of shit and NOTHING happens! IDK why but it does bother me a bit. I am pretty uncomfortable this morning though...woke up because I was just too uncomfortable to sleep at about 5:30 and haven't been able to go back to sleep. I won't be able to at all now because both kids are awake :( Guess I'll just start doing something around the house.

32 Weeks (2 days late...again lol)

I'm now 32 weeks. He's getting bigger, so his kicks and punches are starting to HURT! I've been having contractions a lot over the last few days...some are timeable, and some are just sporadic. Our friend's son has gotten to big for his crib and high chair, so we're going to trade G's old toddler bed for those! WooHoo for free baby furniture! We've even gotten clothes! I'm finally starting to feel like we *may* be ready for him to come....but there are still some things we need to get. I think we may have finally settled on a name...Logan Alexander. It may change, but this is the closest to a name we've gotten yet lol. I should have more of an update next week since that's when I see my midwife. Wow, that's one week exactly from today!

31 Weeks (2 days late lol)

I'm now 31 weeks. At my appointment today I learned that I've passed the 118lbs mark, meaning I've gained a whole 18lbs in 31 weeks! This is a big deal for me lol. The baby is head down, and growing on track. She said in the next 2-3 weeks she'll be scheduling a growth scan to check on him, and said that in 4 weeks she wants us to start trying to get him out (so...4 more weeks of being "good" and resting my pelvis HAHA!) While she was trying to get his heartbeat he kicked the crap outta the doppler and she kept having to wait and try again because he wouldn't stop kicking it lol. Everything is going good, she's very happy with my blood sugars and how well my pregnancy is progressing. Hopefully I'll have just as good of an update in 2 weeks after my next appointment!

30 Weeks

I'm 30 weeks today! My midwife won't let me go past 39 weeks, due to some medical problems I've been having, so I have no more then 9 weeks to go! I still have pretty much nothing for this baby, my house is in no way ready, and I don't have the money to pay someone to clean every room :( There is SO much I still need to do, so much I still need to get, and I have like no time at all. I really don't think I'll make it another 9 weeks, and my midwife doesn't either. We're guessing *maybe* another 6. That's not enough time at all! I still need to get the kids' room done, so I can get them back into their own rooms, so I can get stuff for the baby and get it set up! UGH! I've been having BH contractions all day, my lower back hurts, and I'm beyond tired. I have a feeling that this baby is going to come soon, and we are just not ready yet :(

Daycare Rant

I do daycare. I have 2 kids that I watch. 1 kid is the son of a friend (M), 1 is the kid next door (A). I have M every other week, at least one overnight. I have A whenever he shows up. A's parents and grandma don't seem to think it's necessary to let me know when I will have him, he just shows up! I was only supposed to have him for the summer, but he's shown up after school for the past 2 days. I still haven't gotten paid for the last week that I had him. I'm not supposed to be working, his mom and grandma both know this, they KNOW that my midwife said no more! Yet he keeps showing up. Mom doesn't really talk to me at all, grandma does but rarely about A, and his dad never does. When his dad shows up to get him he doesn't even come to the door, he just sits outside and honks. Since they don't tell me when I'm going to have him (especially since I'm not supposed to now that school has started) what happens if I leave? What happens if I have an appointment and have Piper get off the bus somewhere else, and no one is home to watch A? I'm seriously thinking of picking Piper up from school early tomorrow so that we can go do something and if A shows up then oh well, not my problem! I'll keep watching M as long as I possibly can, because his dad is my friend, and I do need the money....but I'm sick of watching A. I'm sick of there being NO communication, I'm sick of asking when I'll have him and not getting an answer, and I'm beyond pissed that I still haven't been paid except for one fucking time all summer!! My kids act like fools after A has been here, they don't listen while he is here, and then it takes a while for them to start listening after he leaves! I'm done, but I can't tell his parents because they never fucking talk to me!! UGH!!!

28 Weeks

I'm now 28 weeks, I'm in my third trimester! I've spent most of my day having contractions. My midwife did the fetal fibronectin test last week and it came back negative (after the first one 2 days before that came back positive) but now I'm wondering if the test could be wrong. Guess we'll see? If things keep going this way I'll be going in to the hospital tonight, but I don't want to go in if it's nothing to be worried about.....ugh. You would think since this is my third that I would just KNOW, but this pregnancy is so different from my last two. This time I'm already dilated to a 1 (or at least I was last week, that could have changed by now) and that didn't happen until much further along with my last pregnancy.

Saturday, July 28, 2012

UGH!

So, Piper and Emily (my little sister) went to my grandparents. They were supposed to be there until Sunday, but ended up coming home in the middle of the damn night last night....all because Emily didn't want to wash the marker off her feet (yes, you read that right...all because of FEET!) Emily is here today, why I'm not sure, but my mom sent her over. I can tell her NO a million times and yet she doesn't stop! I've told her that Gavin is not her child, so she is NOT to tell him what to do I swear at least 100 times in just the past 15 minutes...she keeps doing it. I told her NO, you can't play with the baby gates...she just looked at me and continued to play with them. Piper is being hell on wheels, she's not listening, she's whining about everything. Yesterday/last night was my overnight with the daycare kid, and he won't be leaving until 7:30 tonight at the earliest. I am DONE! Just done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH Emily is heading home now! WooHoo!!! Maybe things will calm down a little now.

Been Quiet

I've been pretty quiet for...awhile now. This pregnancy is going much faster then I thought it would, and I'm trying so hard to get ready for baby to get here, but I just can't! I don't have enough cloth diapers (and good lord are those things expensive!!!), I don't have clothes, I don't have a crib (though hubby said we should be getting one in a few days tops), and I don't have the rooms ready! Right now P and G share a room, which is fine, but I figure since we'll be having 2 boys and 1 girl soon that the boys should probably get a room and P should get a room. This means I have to sort through the toys in the play room so that I have all of P's toys together to go in her room, and all of G's toys can stay where they are. I then have to move all the clothes around (the playroom closet has the winter clothes/coats in it) and get G's bed moved! It just seems so overwhelming when I look at it that I end up giving up before I even begin *sigh* Wish me luck? Maybe I'll actually be able to get some of it done today since I don't have any daycare kids here!

31 DBC: Day 27

A Favorite Recipe

Ohhhhhh I have so many!

Chicken Crunch (not fried fried chicken)

1 boneless skinless chicken breast per person.
Crushed stuffing (herb flavored works best) (amount depends on how much chicken)
Egg
Melted butter (amount depends on how much chicken)

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Crush stuffing (just beat it, or run a rolling pin over it) and put on a plate
3. Dip chicken in bowl with egg in it
4. Roll chicken in crushed stuffing until covered
5. Put chicken on baking sheet (I've learned it works best, and is easiest to clean up, if you put aluminum foil on the pan first)
6. Drizzle melted butter over chicken
7. Bake on 400 deg. for 20 minutes or until cooked through

It tastes just like fried chicken, but it's baked so it's healthy! YUM! You can also add parmesan cheese to the stuffing but it's not necessary.

31 DBC: Day 26

And Old Photo

The oldest photo I could find of me already online lol. I look just like my kids...or they look just like me LOL!

31 DBC: Day 25

Blogs I Love

I have so many! I get over a hundred email updates from blogs that I follow! I can't pick just one! I have a few on the side bar....and I've been thinking of starting a page on here just for blogs that I follow and love.

31 DBC: Day 24

Favorite Childhood Book

Love You Forever.

After about 6 years old I started reading actual books. My favorites were anything by Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, pretty much any classic novel. At about 8 years old I found a love for anything vampire, especially Bram Stoker's Dracula, and anything by Anne Rice. I've always had a crazy high reading level, and stunned my teachers by reading things they hadn't read until they were much older, or hadn't even dared to read yet! I love reading!

31 DBC: Day 23

Dream Job

I still haven't decided what I'd like to do as a job! I've been a SAHM since P was born, when I was 15! I've never had a job (outside of babysitting, 1 night at McD's, and working at DQ a few times to help out) and I just don't know if I'll ever get a job. I can't stand the idea! I like being at home, well sometimes. I do miss people, grown up conversations, not having to wipe snot off peoples faces lol. Some things I've thought of doing are being a kindergarten teacher, physicist, psychologist, marine biologist, mythologist (if I ever get a job, that probably what I'll do lol), and many others!

31 DBC: Day 22

Best Thing This Year

For me personally, finding out that we're going to have another baby! Another best thing to happen this year is that P was awarded for perfect attendance (one of only three students in the entire school!) and exemplary behavior and citizenship for the year!  I know, those are her things to be excited about, but she's my little girl and I feel they are some of the most important things to happen this year too!

31 DBC: Day 21

10 Favorite Foods

You would really think that this would be something I could do in 30 seconds, but I love food so much that picking favorites is HARD!

1. Fast food. I know, not healthy, but anything coming through a drive through is awesome to be!
2. Baked Mac&Cheese. It's crunchy, yet creamy, and tastes oh so delicious!
3. Chicken Lo Mein
4. Philly Cheese steak pizza
5. Not fried fried chicken
6. Enchiladas
7. Breaded shrimp
8. Sesame Chicken
9. Nachos with cheese
10. Tornado (IDK what they really are, but they're sold at the gas station DH works at.)

If you ask me again tomorrow I'm sure my answers will be different lol. Ya'll are lucky you didn't get a list of 10 fast food foods LOL!

31 DBC: Day 20

A Difficult Time

I've had a few of these. The worst would have to be when G was born and we didn't know if he would make it or not. Right after he was born, I asked if something was wrong. I swore he looked...different...purple. I was told it was normal. Next thing I know we're being told that his oxygen levels are low and he's being taken to the NICU. His lungs hadn't formed, they may have been wrong about his due date. We spent many of those first few days afraid that he would die. He couldn't live without oxygen. They kept telling us that he may have to go to a children's hospital, over an hour away! He fought though, and he fought hard! He surprised EVERYONE when he came off the oxygen, started feeding normally, and was able to be released after 13 days!!

Pic.1- The first NICU setup.
Pic.2- After a few days he was put in a bubble
Pic.3- A few days later he was allowed to come out of the bubble and be moved into a normal newborn bed! He still wasn't allowed to leave the NICU.
Pic.4- The day he was allowed to come to our room from the NICU. That is my best friend feeding him!

We have the best hospital ever, they allow you to stay in your room if your child is in the NICU, until they are released. The only way you'll have to leave is if the rooms fill up and they need your room, and when a room becomes available again, they allow you to come back.

31 DBC: Day 19

I Collect

I don't really collect anything. The kids have so much stuff that we would drown in random crap if I started collecting things lol. If I had to pick something I would say clothes. I have so many that there is no way I could wear them all!

31 DBC: Day 18

My Blog Name

Cloth Love Heart came from my new obsession with cloth diapers, and well anything green lol. I spent days trying to figure out what I wanted to name my blog, and finally settled on C.L.H.

31 DBC: Day 17

My Most Proud Moment

I have a few of them. The day each of my children were born, and the day I got married. In October I will add another moment, when baby #3 is born! I can't imagine my life without my kids or husband.

31 DBC: Day 16

Top of my Bucket List

I don't have anything at the "top" of my bucket list...I just have a list. Right now there is already so much on it that it would take forever to tell you, so I'll just give you a link to my Pinterest "Bucket List" board!

Bucket List

31 DBC: Day 15

A Day In My Life

This depends on the week. I work (babysit) every other week. Even on my work weeks my schedule is different every day, because the dad's schedule is different every day. I can do a "pretty much" schedule though!

Wake up, watch some PBS with the kids, eat breakfast.
Watch the kids trash the house out (but hey, they're having so much fun!), possibly go outside depending on weather. Eat lunch.

Play the rest of the day! Eat dinner, play some more, baths/showers for the kids, put the kids to bed.

Then it's mommy time, where I do the clean up from the day, dishes, sweep, mop, vacuum,  take my shower, watch some TV, read a little!

This of course changes during the school year, because we have less play and more homework and family projects (HA! Those are really for mommy to get stuck doing! LOL!) that need to be done.

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 14

If I Won The Lottery

Oh goddess! If I won the lottery, the things I would do! I would pay off our bankruptcy, help my momma pay off her debts, help my MIL pay off her debts, I would buy a FARM! I want to own my own home, but I will not settle...I want a farm! I'd buy hubby and I each a new car, I'd probably even by my momma and MIL each a new car! I'd put the rest away for the kids to go to college on.

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 13

My Earliest Childhood Memory

I remember my friends, kind of. I have had major memory issues for years, and the more I try to remember, the less I remember. I do have some childhood pictures though!

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 12

Inside My Fridge

It's almost shopping day, so we're doing mostly leftovers!
1. Milk 2. Kool-Aid 3. Sliced Cheese 4. Block Cheese
5. Shredded Cheese 6. Eggs 7. Left-over penne and meatballs 8. Fish (and lots of it lol)
9. Green Beans 10. Corn on the cob 11. Onions (out of my garden) 12. Condiments
13. Giant pregnant woman sized jar of pickles 14. Lettuce 15. Green Pepper 16. Carrots

See...it's for sure almost shopping day! I've got to get some menus planned (and stick to them, especially now that summer is here) so we can go shopping!

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 11

15 Of My Favorite Things

1. My kids. I don't know where, or who, I would be without them.
2. My hubby. He works SO HARD to make sure that I get to stay at home. He's my rock, my everything.
3. Animals. Just not snakes or spiders LOL!
4. Books. For as long as I can remember I have been able to lose myself in the fantasy world of books. I love them!
5. Summer. I love the sun, and the colors, and the warmth!
6. Cooking, when it's just for fun.
7. My bestie! She's been my best friend for a very long time. I don't remember what my life was like before my bestie!
8. The beach. It's been a while since I was on one, but I love the way the wet sand feel between my toes.
9. Root Beer. I'm addicted to it!
10. Music. I don't think that really needs an explanation lol
11. Shopping, for anything and everything!
12. Cloth diapers. They really are addictive!!
13. Showers. I like the time to be by myself lol
14. Swimming. I haven't gone swimming in a very long time but swimming is the place where I am happiest.
15. The sound of the rain. It's so soothing and calming.

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 10

My Best Physical Feature

Well...hmmm....I really don't know. People compliment my eyes a lot, but I don't think they're all that great lol. They're poop brown...how can that be cool!? lol. Hubby has always liked the way my waist is...I'm very thin and I think that's why he likes it, but I've always had weight issues, so I don't really like that either. I guess if I have to choose, I would pick my boobs! Right now I'm not really showing (I sometimes get a small baby bump) but those things have gotten HUGE! I've gone from a AA to a B-C in 15 weeks! I understand that probably isn't really "huge" but to me it is!

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 9

My Worst Habits

1. I procrastinate. A lot. You've probably already learned this, since this is the second or third time I've gotten behind on this lol.
2. I worry. I worry about everything, and I can't seem to stop.

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 8

What's In My Handbag

  • Wallet
  • U/S appointment reminder
  • U/S preparation information
  • Tylenol
  • U/S pictures from when we found out the due date
  • Medical gauze (P lost a tooth the other day and we were leaving, so I just shoved extras in my purse)
  • Keys

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 7

My Pet Hates

1. Slow people. Either walk faster or GET OUTTA MY WAY!
2. Bad manners, especially from adults.
3. That kids' toys take a million batteries...and I usually forget to get them lol.
4. Pant sagging...get a freaking belt!
5. Not being able to get the food I want, as soon as I want it. Pregnancy cravings are driving me nuts!

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 6

Your 5 Senses

See:
I see G playing on the floor with the cat. He got a blanket rolled around him, he looks kind of like a toddler burrito LOL!

Taste:
Well, currently nothing. I'm hoping some kind of fast food or another before my 15 week checkup this afternoon. I also think I may sneak some chocolate milk (the chocolate is hiding in the closet above the washer so G doesn't find it LOL!)

Feel:
I feel the super soft blanket I'm covered with, and my nice plush couch!

Hear:
G playing with the cat and The View on in the background.

Smell:
Nothing, thankfully! Usually when I smell something it's because a diaper needs changed lol.

31 Days Blog Challange: Day 5

10 Favorite Songs Right Now

31 Day Blog Challenge: Day 4

I got pretty busy this week so I'll be posting all my catch ups today!!

What are you afraid of?

I'm afraid of getting old. This is not a joke, being old scares the hell out of me. Old people need help with everything, they lose memories, they forget everything, they get sick...it's just something that scares me. I'm also afraid of death. I keep telling hubby that I want to be cryogenically frozen before I die, that way once they figure out immortality I can be unfrozen.
Is there anything else? I'm scared of most bugs, nasty things!!
I'm also scared that anything bad may happen to my kids. My kids are my life, I would lose my mind if anything happened to them.
I'm also afraid that the car will go over the side and we'll drown when we're driving over water.

I'm afraid of a lot of things, but I don't let them ruin my life! Just gotta breath through them!

31 Day Blog Challange Day 2: 20 Facts

Hmm...20 facts about me?

1. I did many sports as a child, but I hate them and can't play for crap.
2. Up until about a year ago, I couldn't cook at all. I even burned water!
3. I am scared of bugs...like panic attack scared!
4. If I could get away with it, and not get too bored, I'd never leave the house.
5. I don't like beer....I think it's gross.
6. I've never been to a real party.
7. I had P when I was 15.
8. I'm still trying to get through high school, but I don't have the attention span to focus long enough.
9. The only time I have noticeable boobs is during pregnancy...otherwise what you're seeing is a level 5 VS push up.
10. I don't drive. I *could* in an emergency (I'm pretty sure) but I have panic attacks when I drive.
11. I'm going to have a sister who will be only slightly older then my youngest child.
12. I bruise really easy...and I tend to run into things a LOT so I look pretty beat up most of the time lol.
13. I can't eat spaghetti sauce. IDK what it is (probably the tomatoes) but it usually makes me get sick.
14. I have the patience level of a toddler.
15. I loooooooove McDonald's even though I know it's bad for you!
16. I have a tattoo (if you can call it that lol) on my inner arm. It's 1 1/2 stars. I could get it fixed, but I like the memories it holds.
17. I'm addicted to clothes and shoes, but I rarely deviate from my normal jeans, t-shirt, and skechers.
18. I let G run around without pants most of the time. We're home and he's in the beginning stages of potty training, pants are pointless.
19. I have never breastfed, but I determined to do so this time!
20. I'm bipolar.

31 Day Blog Challenge- Day 1

I'm a little late starting, but hey we've been busy around here!

My name is Kirstie and I'm 22 years old. I'm a SAHM of 2, with number 3 on the way! We live in the middle of the US, in a nice small community outside of city limits (thank goodness cuz I HATE the city!) I started blogging as a way to keep tracking of things going on in my life, my pregnancy mush brain is majorly messing with my memory.

Things I love-
Food. Pretty much any food to be honest.
Cooking. Although I really don't like the clean up.
Cats. My Mary cat is awesome!

Things I don't love-
Hatred. There is no need to hate, we need far more love in this world.
Bigotry. Same as above, more love people!!

So far my favorite post would have to be the GCDC post, but I don't have many yet! Gonna be fixing that over the next few days-weeks!

And now for a recent (ish) picture! My camera grew legs and walked off and P's camera sucks all the life out of the batteries just by turning on.

Great Cloth Diaper Change

We had a great time at the GCDC today! I even won a Bummis BeautifulBASIC 2-Piece Cloth Diaper! We got some pretty neat stuff in our goody bag too! There is so much stuff! It was a great time, and once they get the pictures posted I'll put some up so you can see.
I will be doing some reviews on a few of the things we got. I figure that the company gave them away for free in the goody bags so I can at least get their name out there to help them out! Be on the look out!

Stay Open Eyes!

Yesterday and today I slept in, until 10:00! I am still sooooo tired! This pregnancy is just zapping every bit of energy I have. I feel exhausted the second I get out of bed and I have such a heard time keep my eyes open. I miss being able to just drink some coffee, or have an energy drink. Maybe I should eat? Yes, that might help! Off to empty the kitchen off all it's food!

P's First Concert of the Year

P had her first concert of the year last night. We went after she got home from school and got her a new dress (oh what fun trying on dresses with P is!) she picked a very cute pastel colored dress with a flower pattern. When we were on our way to the school she started to worry, but by the time we got there she was ready to run off and find her friends! We found seats with the rest of the family and waited for the kids to come in...she looked so cute walking into the gym :) She sang so beautifully and she remembered each word to her lines! So so proud of her! I can't believe how much my little girl has grown. She's becoming an amazing young lady.

Our First Rumparooz Outing

We used our Rumparooz One Size Pocket Diaper while running errands this morning. We had never left the house with this one on! G wore it for 3 hours and we had no leaks! I love that!
Our Rumparooz is quickly becoming one of my favorite diapers in our small stash. G likes the color (Platinum) and says it's "oofftt" (G speak for "soft.) I like the fact that when #3 gets here this diaper will work for both! Even P can easily size, stuff, and put the diaper on G (this is going to be very helpful when #3 gets here!)

Do you think I could convince hubby that we need to get one of each color Rumparooz carries?

Baby's Due Date!

We went in for the ultrasound yesterday. Baby is healthy and growing right on track. It (I hate calling the poor baby an it..I can't wait to find out the gender!) is due October 28th! If the old wives tale proves to be true, this will be a girl, as baby's heart rate is 175. With P her heart rate was never below 160 and with G his heart rate was never above 150! Maybe we'll get our Athena! If not, it will be fine, I just want a healthy baby. G was born with very underdeveloped lungs, but he's a fighter and only had to spend 12 days in NICU. I hope beyond all hope that this doesn't happen again. Those 12 days were the scariest days of my life.

Figuring Out Baby's Due Date

Normally your due date goes by LMP, but mine average 1-3 months. The last one I had was 2 months long with a few days off here and there, so not a good way to figure it out. Tomorrow I get to go in and FINALLY figure out my due date with an ultrasound! I can not wait! I'm excited to finally know how far along I am, and I'm excited to get to see little baby. Plus, with a due date hubby will be more likely to let me baby shop lol.

Pregnancy Cravings

I am having some odd pregnancy cravings. I stopped eating pork a long time ago, but since getting pregnant I have been craving it sooo badly! Do I give in and eat the nastiness or do I stay strong and continue to shove the cravings down!?

Dear Bun In The Oven,
I don't like to eat pork. It's gross and really not all that good for either of us. If you could please stop making me want it, I would be a very happy.
Love,
Your oven a.k.a. your mommy.
